This Week's Daily Devos

Grace and Peace Everyone!

I'm going to be taking a bit of a break this week from composing the Daily Devos.

It's Spring Break here in Austin and I'm going to be taking some time off to hang out with my family, do some reading, rest and spend time with friends.

In case you are curious as to what I do as part of my own daily routine during the season of Lent, I'll share with you some of the material I'm using for Lent (and beyond) in case you'd like to use them, too:

Books:

1.  A Way Other Than Our Own by Walter Brueggemann - a great Lenten devotion book
2. The Gift of Hard Things by Mark Yaconelli - this is a great devotional book for any time of year
3. Bread and Wine: Readings for Lent & Easter - this is an amazing collection of devotional readings
4. The New Testament: A Translation by David Bentley Hart - I absolutely love this translation of the New Testament.  I read a chapter a day, and it generally takes me through the year.

Podcast:

Pray-As-You-Go - This podcast is done by Jesuits in the United Kingdom, and is absolutely awesome.  Each episode is only 10-15 minutes long.

Video:

Dynamic Catholic - Best Lent Ever - You can find these videos daily at dynamiccatholic.com.  Great daily inspiration during the season of Lent.

Blessings friends!  I'll be back writing Daily Devos next week!

Counting it all Joy, Pastor Leon
